Raffle Raffle Raffle

The background of the blanket is a beautiful slate gray with the patterns ranging in colors from garnet, coral, hints of deep pink, rust, persimmon, golden brown, and a few flecks of chartreuse. The rich jewel tones are warm and vibrant while maintaining a quiet beauty. We are grateful to Paula Sullivan for knitting and donating this incredible gift to the Christian Community for our Advent Fair fundraiser.

The knitting pattern itself is adapted from the Mitered Crosses Blanket by designer Kay Gardiner, who was inspired by the Modern Crosses Quilt by quilter Susan Beal. The blanket combines two techniques—mitering and log cabin—to make a knitted interpretation of a log cabin quilt.
